Synthetic hair has come a long way in recent years, due to technological advances. The most appealing aspect to synthetic hair is it can often be worn right out of the box with little to no styling. The fiber used has a memory for wave, curl and volume, letting the hair bounce back into place with minimal effort and the curl pattern is permanently set. It can even hold up in bad weather and guarantees no drooping or frizzing.
Caring for Synthetic Wigs
-
Fill sink with cool water and emulsify a capful of synthetic wig shampoo on to the wig.
-
Gently wash the wig, taking care not to tangle the hair in the sink. Try to keep the hair travelling in the same direction.
-
Rinse gently in cool water and do not rub.
-
Spray the wig with a leave-in synthetic hair conditioning spray.
Styling Tips for Synthetic Wigs
-
Do not use heat (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers).
-
Do not stand close to an oven or bbq.
-
Styling is very easy with a synthetic wig. We recommend simply using your fingertips or a wig brush for your desired style.
-
If fullness is desired, backcomb the hair gently using a wig brush or comb, then smooth the surface hair over and apply a holding spray.
-
We recommend using a synthetic hair detangling spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle a synthetic wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length wigs.
